There's a lot of searching in these jams, long and slow explorations in some of the rock based idioms that resonate with me: slow core, black metal, post punk, coldwave, c86.
I almost want to apologize.. but if by some miracle you are somehow reading this and if by some even greater miracle you are listening to these recordings with any patience at all then.. I don't know what to say.

Confessions and honesty can feel good. This current zeitgeist, this grim waiting phase feels so twisted, so dull, so depressing. the exquisite sadness culled from playing back these songs after I record them lasts for a day or two after the new track is recorded and quickly mixed down, I listen to it on my way to and from work in the car. Back and forth down Allens ave, past the strip clubs and liquified natural gas processing plants. No intense highs and lows, this is what I was doing while fascism took hold, this is what I was doing while I slid into adulthood, numb and stuck up as usual, this is what I was doing while the house fell apart, this is what I was doing instead of raising a child.

I'm waiting for war to break out in the west. The northeast of the US in this era is probably one of the safest places on earth to spend 50 odd years. I hate the idea that I'm complacently now another superfluous surplus value creator in america, collecting direct deposits and redistributing the capitol back up into the cloud. But I got scared, you know? And now in many ways things are better for me than they've even been.
